Centaurs have been spotted in these woods! Can you describe the centaurs habitat using similies, adverbial phrases of place and interesting vocabulary?

As far as I could hear, the loud rushing waterfall gave a huge crash as it fell onto the flowing river,as loud as a rumble.

As far as I could see, there were lots of rotting leaves and trees around the forest.
My heart felt as if a centaur was going to pop out from nowhere.I could hear the centaur hooves as if it was right behind me and caught me.i looked around the forest very carefully and could only see the darkness of night.

The deep blue water I could see was as deep as the ocean. It was blue like the sky without clouds. The ginger sand was shimmering in bright sunlight. There,I could relax in the soft sand as a pillow.I turned around,I could see a wooden, brown shelter covered in leaves, and was man made.White branches lay above me,with beautiful feathering leaves.
