Our WOW visit from Vincent Van Gogh!

Date: 26th Apr 2015 @ 12:40pm

On Wednesday morning we had a surprise visitor in our class. Mr Vincent Van Gogh came in to talk about his new painting, 'Sunflowers'. He talked to the class about his childhood and then how he decided he wanted to be a painter. We were allowed to asked questions, and we were all very interested as we wanted to find out more about this famous man!

Van Gogh talked about he created his paintings and how he had to keep trying his best and altering his work.

We enjoyed listening to his life story, we are going to do more research about this amazing man....watch this space!

We have started to draw our own version of his famous painting, to try our best and not rush we are starting using pencils, then we will add colour, and then hopefully we will look at colour mixing and finally painting a full picture. Come and have a look at our learning wall to see how we are doing.

Mrs Tweedy would like to say a special thankyou to Dr Chippendale for his help. smiley
