Anglo-Saxon Boot Camp at Tatton Park - 13.01.17

Date: 14th Jan 2017 @ 4:09pm

On Friday, Year 4 went on a trip to Tatton Park to experience being Anglo Saxons. Unfortunately, Friday 13th was unlucky for us, and the weather was incredibly cold! Luckily, we still had a lot of fun and learned a lot of things.

At the beginning of the day, we realised we had come to the Anglo Saxon village at a bad time- the danegeld bribes had been stolen. The Viking leader decided to take us as slaves instead! And he wanted Mrs Best to become his fifth wife!

We had to learn lots of things to make us into useful Anglo Saxon citizens.

We learned how to make bread to keep the village well fed and give us the energy to do all our chores by hand. We also made clay bowls to sell at the trading post, learned about all the different uses for deer and were trained as fierce and brave warriors.

Oh, and Haris A nearly got beheaded...

Take a look at the photos we took on our trip! More to be added soon...
