Visit from the Fire Service

Date: 1st Jun 2015 @ 7:03pm

Today we were lucky to welcome Blackley Fire Station to our school. We went outside and looked around the engine. Did you know it holds 1800 litres of water? We were excited to spray water with the hose and sit in the driver's seat and work the alarm. In the classroom we learnt about what the fire service do, how and when to contact them and water safety tips.

When they had left we wrote some fantastic leaflets about the importance of smoke alarms. I checked mine and it needs a new battery. Well done for informing me so well.
