Year 4 Maths - Roman Numerals

Date: 30th Nov 2016 @ 2:55pm

This week, Year 4 have been looking at Roman Numerals in Maths. We learned the difference between Roman numerals and Arabic numbers (our numbers!).

We spent lots of time playing games to help us remember what each letter stood for, and how we could put them together. After that, we did some Ancient Roman maths homework- practising our calculation skills using Roman numerals instead of normal numbers!

Some of us worked in a small group with Mrs Begum to play a number forming game- Mrs Begum called out a number and we had to make it with our letter cards. Can you work out which numbers we were making?
