This week, we are going to be looking at a new text. The text is 'The Gingerbread Star' by Anne Fine. Today, we will be completing the prediction and clarifying parts of our reciprocal reading. 1. Look at the front cover and use your inference skills (we talked about these in Writing last week!) to complete the sentence stem below: 'I predict the text is about... The reason I think this is because...' 2. Once you have completed your prediction, read the extract from the text attached below. Once you have read this, go back through the text and write down any words you are unsure of . You can then use the link to the online dictionary below to help you clarify the meanings. Type the word in and it will give you a definition. https://dictionary.cambridge.org/ The following children have a different activity: 3C - Hassan, Ibraheem, Burhan, Arush, Zunash, Ibrahim and Wejah 3L - Nour, Dumitru, Abu baker and Mudaser Please can you read your current reading book to a grown up. ![]()

Hello Y3 Home Learners!
We have all been told that we need to self-isolate for 14 days so we MUST stay at home. You need to continue to wash your hands regularly and keep your space from those that you live with. This will help us protect our loved ones and keep others in our community safe. That doesn't mean that we can't continue our learning though! Over the next two weeks, we will be posting your work on here for you to access. The work will be posted throughout the day so you need to continue to check back and see what new tasks you have. You will also need to pay attention to which group you are in and what work is for you. If you have any questions, you can email us at [email protected]. You can also email us your completed work for us to check over too! We look forward to hearing from you! Miss Curzon & Ms Gold This week's spellings are below.
