Morning all,
I hope everyone is well. For this week's computing, I'd like you to work through this BBC lesson on Algorithms and Debugging. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z6rhnrd One of the best things in life is to receive a letter from a friend. An actual letter, mind - not an e-mail (although they are great too!)
Why not write a letter to a friend today? You can tell them what you have been doing with your home learning, and how you have been coping during "lockdown." Add lots of detail! Don't forget, ask your friend questions about how they have been and what they have been doing. Try to get an adult to find you a stamp and an envelope and post your letter (you'll need to write your friends's address on the envelope.) Then all you have to do is wait for the reply! Try it! Good morning everyone!
Are you enjoying the good weather? It’s been great to receive some examples of your excellent work! These are the learning activities we want you to complete today in addition to English and Maths: The Joe Wicks work out which will be shown on his “Youtube” channel. The work out starts at 9am and lasts for 30 minutes. Click on this link to take part: https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1 From 9.30 – 10.00 am, we want you to practise your spellings. The spelling lists were uploaded on a blog post dated 20/3/20. We suggest that you practise ten spellings each day (start on step 5). Remember to use the ‘Look, say, cover, write, check’ method to remember the spellings. Next, we want you to read for half an hour. Read your book or online text to an experienced reader if possible (this could be your mum, dad, carer, brother, sister or any other relative). While you are reading, ask the person who is listening to you read to ask you questions about the book/text. If you have any questions about the learning activities then please email us at: [email protected] (for Mr Ahmed-Swift) [email protected] (for Mr Tait) This week, I'd like you to listen to the song Canterbury bells. Do you remember it. It has a meter of 3( 3/4 time) When you have listened to the song, learn and practise singing the verse. Then, learn and practise singing the chimes. It would be lovely to receive photos or a video of you performing this activity. [email protected] Enjoy Mr R
Click on the link and enter your details, nominate our school. We could win £5000 for our school library and you could win £100 for yourselves! Good luck everyone!
Hello children,
For today's history task I would like you to write a letter to your mum/dad or carer in hieroglyphics. Hieroglyphics are symbols used by Ancient Egyptians to communicate in writing (basically an Ancient Egyptian alphabet!).
