Good morning everyone!
I hope everybody is feeling good and ready for another week of learning. These are the learning activities we want you to complete today in addition to English and Maths: The Joe Wicks work out which will be shown on his “Youtube” channel. The work out starts at 9am and lasts for 30 minutes. Click on this link to take part: https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1 From 9.30 – 10.00 am, we want you to practise your spellings. The spelling lists were uploaded on a blog post dated 20/3/20. We suggest that you practise ten spellings each day (start on step 5). Remember to use the ‘Look, say, cover, write, check’ method to remember the spellings. Next, we want you to read for half an hour. Read your book or online text to an experienced reader if possible (this could be your mum, dad, carer, brother, sister or any other relative). While you are reading, ask the person who is listening to you read to ask you questions about the book/text. If you have any questions about the learning activities then please email us at: [email protected] (for Mr Ahmed-Swift) [email protected] (for Mr Tait) Ubaydullah. Well done young man, you have worked really hard with the online tasks, and you have sent us your work.
We are proud of you! Hello Year 5! I am sorry to have to tell you that someone is using the blog comments inappropriately and this has been going on for several weeks. These comments have been filtered and not been published on your blog. It is important for you to remember how to behave when you are online. Esafety has been an important aspect of your computing sessions throughout school and impersonating others and posting comments about other people is considered 'trolling' and deemed to be an offence under the Malicious Communications Act. We have sent the information off to IT investigators who are currently tracking the I.P addresses to find out where these are being sent from. I hope that this will now stop and the blog can continue to be the place where fantastic learning takes place! Mrs Fairclough
It is great you are staying engaged Hamzah! This will really help your future!
Have a great weekend! Hello everyone,
This is an important reminder to children to continue learning and engaging with the blog. It is crucial that your mind is kept as sharp as possible so when you do eventually come back to school, you will be able to cope with the work and learning we give you. I have received very little work from children in 5C this week. Come on children, let's have a much better effort next week! Have a great weekend and see you on Monday. Mr Tait Please complete the Summer Term - Week 3 (Lesson 4 - Calculate perimeter) activity.
https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/ There is a short tutorial to help you, a worksheet to work through and answers are also included in the link. Have fun! Hi all,
For this week's science, I would like you to work through this BBC Lesson to recap your learning from Year 4 on what plants need to survive. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z6m4kmn Dr Chips Morning all,
I hope everyone is well. For this week's computing, I'd like you to work through this BBC lesson on Algorithms and Debugging. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z6rhnrd One of the best things in life is to receive a letter from a friend. An actual letter, mind - not an e-mail (although they are great too!)
Why not write a letter to a friend today? You can tell them what you have been doing with your home learning, and how you have been coping during "lockdown." Add lots of detail! Don't forget, ask your friend questions about how they have been and what they have been doing. Try to get an adult to find you a stamp and an envelope and post your letter (you'll need to write your friends's address on the envelope.) Then all you have to do is wait for the reply! Try it! |
